Pushkin Press are offering BA and MA students the chance to have one of their illustrations featured on the cover of an upcoming edition of The Allure of Chanel.
Pushkin Press, a British-based publisher specialising in literature in translation, has announced its Student Illustration Award 2015, offering one talented undergraduate BA or postgraduate MA student on a course within the UK the chance to have their work published on the front cover of Pushkin Collection edition book.
Pushkin Press are known for taking care over the design and illustration of their elegantly printed and bound books and the winner of the illustration competition will be joining the likes of Jean Jullien, Ping Zhu, Patrick Leger and Yann Kebbi in having their work featured in the press’ books.
The book the competition entrants must design a cover image for is The Allure of Chanel by Paul Morand. Already published as an illustrated edition by Pushkin Press, the cover artist of this version will be replacing an image done by none other than Karl Lagerfeld. And as if that wasn’t enough, the winner also receives £400. With the deadline on the 6 April 2015, there’s no time to waste.
