This American West Coaster is one of the most wonderfully left field illustrators we’ve seen in a while.

What’s hanging on your walls?

At this point only a Christopher Forgues print.

What are you working on right now?

A wizardry-based commission,a collaboration with writer/ musician/ friend Chris Damien illustrating a trilogy of his short stories, a collaboration print set with artist/ cat-lover/ friend Michael Olivo, a series of drawings of a certain Norse god and his exploits, and continuing the hustle with Never Press.

Who are your heroes?

Philip K Dick, Isamu Noguchi, Brian Eno, Constantin  Brancusi, Christopher Forgues, Oneohtrix Point Never.

Tell us about the piece of work you’re most proud of.

I think I am most proud of the work that is tumbling around in my head — a painting on raw canvas, an ambitious, bound object, some large-scale template-based drawings and making my own coffee table. Once one of my ideas is brought to fruition in real life, it loses some of its magic for me.

Where would you like to be in a year’s time?

In a healthy place mentally, physically and spiritually.

What would be your fantasy commission?

Album artwork/ design for a series of electronic/ ambient science fiction concept albums, or creating an art book/ zine/ bound-object with a moderate budget.

If you weren’t an illustrator, what would you be?

A graphic designer.
