To celebrate Taschen’s re-release of its highly popular and all-encompassing book on typefaces Letter Fountain, we have three copies to give away to Grafik readers.
Taschen has recently republished its typography bible Letter Fountain by Joep Pohlen – a book hefty enough to teach you all you need to know (and plenty more) about typefaces. With over six-hundred information-packed pages, the book contains not only a fascinating history of type, thoughts on digital aesthetics and discussions on how to choose appropriate combinations of typefaces but also a wonderfully thorough section displaying specimens of well know type faces and useful alternatives to them – for those moments when you don’t want to use Helvetica or Baskerville yet again.
The good people at Taschen have kindly given us three copies of Letter Fountain, worth £24.99, to give away to lucky Grafik readers. To be in with a chance of getting your hands on a copy, just send an email with ‘Letter Fountain’ in the subject box to giveaway@grafik.net, telling us what the address of the Taschen store in London is. Deadline is 18 June 2015, and you can find the answer here.
