Graduate show New Designers celebrates its thirtieth anniversary this year, and to get you in the party mood we’re giving away a pair of VIP tickets, dinner with champagne at Fredericks and a limited-edition bottle of Absolut vodka.
Since New Designers launched thirty years ago it’s become a one stop shop for spotting the best of the UK’s emerging talent. Design graduates from the UK’s best art and design courses flock to Islington’s Business Design Centre to exhibit their stand-out projects, from textiles, fashion and jewellery to furniture, product and graphic design. The event is split into two different exhibitions over the fortnight, visit Part 1 for textiles and fashion, jewellery and ceramics, and Part 2 for furniture, product design, illustration and motion arts.
Not only is it an excellent place to recruit and commission new talent, but the professional development-focused talks programme, which has become a mainstay of the New Designers experience, offers tonnes of insight to newly graduated creatives wanting advice on how to score their dream job. The New Designers One Year On showcase, exhibition tours, Thursday Lates and Creative Saturdays events mean that there’s plenty for the layperson to enjoy too.
To celebrate thirty years of New Designers, the show’s ridiculously generous team have bestowed Grafik with two VIP tickets to give away, plus dinner for two and a bottle of champagne at Fredericks, plus a limited-edition bottle of Absolut vodka. All you need to do is send an email to giveaway@grafik.net with the subject line ‘New Designers’ telling us which two creatives won the Business Design Centre New Designer of the Year at New Designers last year. You might want to have a look on the website here. Have a good mooch round the programme while you're there too.
