Book publisher Blurb and visual arts studio Jotta have joined forces to create a new exhibition which looks at the future of the book, as imagined by a host of talented new creatives.

The future of books in this increasingly digital age is a subject which has been regularly up for debate – as e-books and readers become more and more popular, how can the analogue reading experience be broadened, extended or enhanced to ensure that the printed book will survive?
To investigate the future possibilities of the book as a printed object, creative publishing platform Blurb and visual arts studio Jotta have commissioned nine emerging creatives to reimagine the book as we know it. Approaching the medium from a unique perspective, the finished pieces will form Unbinding the Book, and will be shown as part of the London Art Book Fair at the Whitechapel Gallery before travelling to San Francisco and New York.
Artists from the UK, France, US, Canada and Italy are represented, with stand-out pieces by Camille Leproust (who gives the reader four hours to read her book before the thermal paper it is printed on fades to black) and Callum Copley, who has created three separate books to encourage a truly collaborative reading process.
