This week’s posts on Grafik have been brought to you by graphic design and illustration BA students at The Sir John Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design, London Metropolitan University (AKA The Cass). This academic year, the Visual Communication department has offered students the chance to be part of year-long studios run by industry practitioners, including illustration collective Nous Vous, research and design studio Kin, branding consultant Emily Penny, graphic designer Sarah Boris and Grafik’s Angharad Lewis. The latter pair curates Press Pass, a studio that is focused on investigations into the relationship between publishing and design.

As part of the projects generated in the Press Pass studio, students have formed an extension of the Grafik team, to research, write and produce articles. The first of these have been published over the course of the last week and more will be published in the next few months.
Press Pass students have also designed a series of ‘Grafik Collected’ printed publications, showcasing collected highlights from Grafik’s long-running favourites such as Letterform and Talent. Watch this space for information about how to get your hands on copies.
