Returning for its second year, one-day event Safari Festival brings together artists from across the world to celebrate new waves in comics at Grafik’s Shoreditch HQ.
This Saturday we’re hosting Safari Festival in our Studio 2 gallery space in Shoreditch. Curated by London based comic publishers Breakdown Press, the free festival is a celebration of the new wave of alternative and art comics from the UK and further afield.
A carefully selected group of cartoonists and publishers will be exhibiting and selling their artwork, prints and comics. The artists exhibiting have been selected for their innovative, fearless, diverse approaches to making comics. Featured in the exhibition are; Babak Ganjei, Connor Willumsen, Decadence Comics, Eyeball Comix, Grace Wilson, Sina Sparrow and many more.
Throughout the day there will be DJ sets from Negative Space, Echo Lake, Bitches, Omi Palone and more, and Protein’s café will provide refreshments for exhibitors and attendees.

The festival will also feature live DJ sets from Will Sweeney, Grumbling Fur's Alexander Tucker, Mat Colegate from The Quietus and Teeth of the Sea, as well as plenty to eat and drink.
To coincide with Safari, festival founders Breakdown Press will be releasing Another Blue World, a risograph-printed collection of comics by acclaimed UK artist Jonathan Chandler.
