Our second and final instalment of posters from Type Motion at Liverpool's FACT Gallery – the bright sparks of Grafik's Talent section have created type-only interpretations of movie favourites...

Heathers, director: Michael Lehmann, 1988, designed by Aleena Jamil, UK, 2014

Last month Grafik joined forces with Liverpool’s FACT gallery to create some new content for the excellent Type Motion exhibition (currently on show at FACT until 13 Feb 2015). We invited some of our favourite Talent profiles from grafik.net to come up with a new type-only poster design for a favourite film of their choice. The challenge was to communicate the ethos of a motion picture using typography as the main expressive element.

These posters stand alongside the main exhibition not only as contemporary examples of how type can engage with the moving image, elevating both forms of expression, but also as a testament to the coming generation of graphic designers, of which these individuals represent some of the brightest.
