The Ronchini Gallery in London hosts the first solo show by artist Jens Wolf, whose abstract compositions hold an instant graphic appeal.

A new exhibition at the Ronchini Gallery in London is the first UK solo show of works by the artist Jens Wolf. Based in Berlin, Wolf paints abstract and very graphic compositions on plywoood featuring geometric forms. He wears his influences on his sleeve – fans of Josef Albers and Frank Stella will immediately see parallels with Wolf’s work. However while they may feature similar motifs, Wolf’s pieces are full of deliberate imperfections, as well as unfinished and distressed areas and pencil lines.

As gallery owner Lorenzo Ronchini explains:“Jens Wolf has taken cold abstraction and added his own visual language to create contemporary works that have a sense of vulnerability and individual expression about them.”
