We're celebrating the launch of Grafik online with an exhibition of Letterform posters – come by and see the archive of seventy font favourites by world class graphic designers.
A big thank you to everybody who came along to our launch event last Thursday at Protein Studio 2. It was great to see friendly faces, old and new. On the walls, we showed a collection of specially-designed posters based on our archive of Letterform articles, 2005—2014. The seventy posters feature the letterforms themselves, together with writing about their place in the personal design histories of a group of the most interesting and successful graphic designers and typographers from around the world.
The exhibition will be on show until the end of the week. There are some well-known favourites such as Futura Book ‘o’ chosen by Gareth Hague, and Gill Sans lowercase ‘g’ chosen by Michael Cina. Our contributors over the years have also picked out some typographic curiosities such as The Architectural Alphabet by Johan Steingruber, chosen by Henrik Kubel, and the unforgettable Mr Bear ‘W” chosen by Craig Oldham.
